FAQ Back Pain & Neck Pain

At any given time, approximately 31 million Americans experience back pain. If you are among the sufferers, you know how debilitating neck and back pain can be. Today we've rounded up our client's frequently asked questions about neck and back pain. Read on to learn more about these issues.

Back Pain FAQ

What causes back pain? Back pain has many causes, ranging from sports and auto accident injury to repetitive movement, poor posture, or stress.

Will my back pain go away without treatment? In 50 percent of cases, back pain goes away within two weeks. In 90 percent of cases, back pain will go away within three months. Chiropractic treatment can resolve the underlying issues to treat back pain and provide stretching and strengthening to prevent recurrence.

How does chiropractic care help back pain? Chiropractic care reduces your pain, decreases the need to take painkillers, improves your range of motion, and helps you heal the underlying cause of pain and inflammation. Chiropractic is a conservative treatment method that is gentle and safe for all ages.

Neck Pain FAQ

neck painWhat causes neck pain? Straining, injury, accident, or misalignment of spinal vertebrae all cause neck pain, as do obesity, poor posture, and stress. Over a period of years, repetitive movements can impinge the root of the nerve on one side of the spine and cause chronic neck pain. The more you use your shoulders, neck, and arms, the higher the incidence of pain.

How does chiropractic care help neck pain? Neck adjustments help restore your range of motion, reduce stiffness or soreness in the neck, and return spinal vertebrae to the proper position.

Can I use chiropractic care and other methods for neck pain? Not only is chiropractic treatment safe and effective to treat neck pain, it works well with other treatment methods. Chiropractic care complements other treatment methods, such as massage, acupuncture, rest and ice, and physical therapy.
